Nithya Jeevana Network of Positive People Ballary, established in 2005 by M. Hemalatha, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people living with HIV (PLHIV) with dignity, respect and equal opportunity. Based in Ballari, Karnataka, the organisation provides holistic support that extends beyond medical care, offering nutrition and education for children, counselling for youth and the elderly, micro-loans and livelihood assistance for women, and focused support for widows, transgender individuals and sex workers who often face social and economic exclusion. The organisation also works to prevent mother-to-child transmission, strengthen treatment adherence and promote viral load suppression, contributing to healthier individuals and stronger communities.
